Tempest - Silicon Carbide Balls
12 €

The silicon carbide balls replace the stock zirconia balls in the Tempest 2 cap. SiC has the highest thermal conductivity of all available ball materials at 120 W/m·K, which means heat transfers into the herbs very quickly.

SiC is lighter than zirconia, so it heats up faster and cools down sooner. This makes for quicker, more intense extraction cycles. Each set contains approximately 50 balls of 3 mm diameter, enough to fill one Tempest cap with some extra.

Intended for use with: Tempest 2.

Tempest - Stainless Steel Balls
4 €

The stainless steel balls replace the stock zirconia balls in the Tempest 2 cap. At 5.6 g fill weight, stainless steel is the heaviest ball option and holds heat the longest.

The extra thermal mass means slower heat-up but more sustained extraction over longer draws. Stainless steel suits users who prefer gradual, drawn-out sessions rather than quick, punchy hits. Each set contains enough 3 mm balls to fill one Tempest cap with some extra.

Intended for use with: Tempest 2.

  Out of stock
Tempest - Quartz Balls
10 €

The quartz balls replace the stock zirconia balls in the Tempest 2 cap. Quartz has the lowest fill weight (1.4 g) and thermal conductivity (3 W/m·K) of all available options, which means very fast heat-up and cool-down.

Quartz produces the quickest extraction cycles and works well for users who want short, flavour-focused hits. Each set contains enough 3 mm balls to fill one Tempest cap with some extra.

Intended for use with: Tempest 2.

Tempest - Funnel
3 €

The funnel sits on top of the Reload 2, Reload 3, or Tempest Case herb pots and gives you a wide opening for transferring ground material from your grinder. It fits snugly and stops herbs from spilling over the sides during filling.

The funnel is 3D printed from PLA (60 x 28 mm) and colour matched to the Reload. Keep it away from direct sunlight and high temperatures, as PLA can soften with prolonged heat exposure.

Intended for use with: Reload 3 Tempest 2.

Tempest 2 - Wood Sleeve (Natural)
32 €

The wood sleeve replaces the standard aluminium heat shield on the Tempest 2. It is made from stabilised maple burl with a natural finish. Each sleeve has unique colour and grain patterns due to the organic nature of wood.

Wood insulates better than aluminium, so the sleeve stays cooler during longer or back-to-back sessions. It also reduces the overall weight by a few grams.

Intended for use with: Tempest 2.

Tempest 2 - Cooling Unit (High)
6 €

The cooling unit is a titanium intercooler that sits inside the Tempest 2 stem. The Tempest 2 ships with the Medium (Long) cooling unit as standard. This is the High cooling option, which provides more vapour cooling for users who prefer a smoother, cooler draw.

Swapping the cooling unit takes a few seconds and changes the draw temperature noticeably. The High option is worth trying if you tend to run sessions at higher temperatures.

Intended for use with: Tempest 2.

Tempest 2 - Bowl Screens (3-pack)
5 €

The bowl screen sits at the base of the Tempest 2's herb chamber and sets the bowl size across three positions (roughly 0.1 g, 0.15 g, or 0.2 g). Residue builds up on the screen over time, which can restrict airflow and affect extraction.

The pack contains 3 stainless steel screens. Rotating through fresh screens lets you go longer between deep cleans.

Ispire - The Wand (Induction Heater)
79 €

Features

  • Induction heating
  • Great at heating DynaVap vaporizers
  • Full temperature control (120°C to 425°C)
  • Borosilicate glass cups
  • Removable batteries (2 × 2900 mAh)
  • Safety features

The Wand by Ispire is a portable induction heater for use with concentrates, and in addition to that, it’s also great at heating the Captive Caps of DynaVap vaporizers.

What is induction heat?

Induction heat is a highly accurate, controllable, and more predictable heat source than the torches used normally used for this kind of vaping, so you’re going to experience consistency and less waste by eliminating over- or under-heating. Select any temperature you want in 5-degree increments, from 120°C to 425°C.

Automatic and manual mode

You can use it in one of two modes, either manual mode or automatic mode. To use it in manual mode, hold the large button down until the cup or your DynaVap reaches your set temperature.

When you first hold the button down the Wand will blink with a red light, then once you put something with metal in it will engage the induction heating and pulse a white light while it’s heating up. When it arrives at your set temperature the white light will stay on, meaning you can go ahead and enjoy whatever you're heating.

To use it in automatic mode, double press the large button, and then place it on the induction cup or put your DynaVap in it. One great thing about the automatic mode is that you can take it off and on throughout the cycle and it will just re-engage the heating, so you can adjust the heat while in use.

Removable batteries

The Wand is powered by two replaceable 2900 mAh batteries that can be charged with the included USB-C cable, or externally if you have a charger for 18650 batteries.

High-quality 18650 batteries are available with a 25% discount when purchased together with a Wand or any other vaporizer - add them to your cart at the same time to receive the discount.

Tempest - Wand Adapter
10 €

The wand adapter is a glass cup that holds the Tempest 1 and 2 inside the iSpire Wand for hands-free induction heating. The V3 design has a shorter cup than earlier versions, which improves heating efficiency and reduces battery use.

The glass construction lets you see the Tempest 2's visual temperature indicator while it heats. The adapter has a 14 mm inner diameter and works best with the Wand Stand (sold separately) for stability. Make sure your iSpire Wand has an opening of at least 14.0 mm for a proper fit.

Intended for use with: Tempest 2.

Tempest - Wand Stand
3 €

The wand stand clips onto the iSpire Wand and lifts the hot glass adapter off your desk or table after a heating cycle. Without it, the adapter sits directly on the surface and can leave scorch marks on wood or other heat-sensitive materials.

One stand keeps the Wand upright but at a slight angle. Some users add a second stand on the opposite side to level it out. The stand is 3D printed from PETG plastic and is a friction fit, best suited for indoor use.

Who is the Tempest 2 for?

The Tempest 2 suits vapers who want full control over how their herbs are heated and extracted. If you enjoy adjusting airflow, trying different heating approaches, and refining your technique bowl after bowl, this vaporizer gives you the tools to do exactly that. Expect a short learning curve as you dial in your preferred settings, but once set, results are easy to repeat.

The Tempest 2 is entirely mechanical. It runs on a butane torch or a compatible induction heater, with no batteries or electronics inside, so you never need to wait for a charge.

Most ball vapes are built for desktop use. The Tempest 2 is pen-sized and fits in a pocket, bringing ball-vape extraction quality to a truly portable format. The built-in water pipe adapter lets you connect it directly to a water pipe at home without any extra parts.

Convection-dominant ball heating

The Tempest 2 heats your herbs through convection, where hot air flows through a matrix of zirconia balls before reaching the herb chamber. The ball matrix absorbs and stores thermal energy from your heat source. As you inhale, air passes through the heated balls and carries that energy into the herbs, heating them more evenly than direct-contact conduction methods.

The thermal energy stored in the ball matrix is enough to deliver full extraction in a single heat-up. You typically do not need multiple heat-cool cycles to finish a bowl, which makes sessions quicker and more efficient. The herbs tend to roast evenly throughout, with no hot spots and no need to stir between draws.

You heat the Tempest 2 externally using a butane torch (single, dual, or triple flame) or a compatible induction heater such as the iSpire Wand or YLL 3.0. The vaporizer itself contains no electronics.

Temperature feedback you can see and hear

A green pointer on the cap moves as the temperature rises, passing through three marked zones for low, medium, and high heat. The zones are relative markers rather than fixed °C readings, since actual temperature depends on your heating technique and ball material. The visual indicator gives you a real-time reading that makes it easier to get consistent results from session to session.

The Tempest 2 also has dual click discs that produce an audible and tactile click when the lower temperature threshold is reached. Together, the visual indicator and the clicks provide two independent sources of temperature feedback, all without any battery or electronics.

Lower temperatures (first zone) tend to bring out delicate flavours. Higher temperatures (second and third zones) shift the character toward stronger effects and a warmer, more satisfying vapour. You choose where to stop heating based on what you see and hear, giving you analogue precision over each session.

Tune your sessions with swappable ball materials

The Tempest 2 ships with 3 mm zirconia balls, but you can swap them for different ball materials, each with its own heat retention and extraction character.

Heavier balls like stainless steel (5.3 g fill weight) take longer to heat and hold their heat longer, which tends to produce smoother, more gradual extraction. Lighter options like silicon carbide, quartz (1.4 g), or borosilicate glass (1.5 g) heat up faster and can deliver quicker, punchier hits. Zirconia sits in the middle at 3.9 g and provides balanced, all-round performance.

Swapping the ball material changes how the vaporizer behaves without altering any other setting. This level of extraction tuning is rare among portable vaporizers.

Dual airflow control

The Tempest 2 has two independent airflow adjustments. The cap airflow is set by loosening the top screw and rotating the stainless steel induction sleeve to open or close the air slots. The stem air port is set by loosening the mouthpiece and rotating the heat shield.

These two controls let you shape the draw from a wide-open, direct-lung pull to a tighter, mouth-to-lung draw. With full airflow open through a water pipe, the Tempest 2 can extract a full bowl in a single long draw. With restricted airflow natively, you can sip slowly over several minutes. Since convection heating relies on airflow to drive extraction, adjusting these settings changes both the draw feel and the vapour character.

Grade 5 titanium build

The cap, tip, inner condenser tube, and mouthpiece are all grade 5 titanium. The screens are stainless steel, and the standard heat shield is anodised aluminium (a titanium variant is available depending on the colour option). FKM seal rings are used throughout and are safe to clean with isopropyl alcohol.

The Tempest 2 measures 12 cm long and 18.5 mm across, roughly the size of a thick pen, and weighs 46 g with the aluminium heat shield. The entire vapour path runs through titanium and stainless steel, keeping it free from plastic.

Cool, smooth vapour

Inside the stem, a large titanium cooling spiral sits within a thick-walled titanium condenser tube. This combination cools the vapour noticeably before it reaches your lips. The draw typically feels smooth and comfortable, even at higher temperatures.

The heat shield does not touch the inner condenser sleeve, so it stays cool in your hand throughout a session. The Tempest 1's heat shield made direct contact with the inner heat sink and could become uncomfortably hot, so this is a meaningful improvement. The mouthpiece can get warm during back-to-back bowls; using the Tempest 2 through a water pipe or fitting a wood sleeve helps keep things comfortable during longer sessions.

Convection-dominant heating also benefits flavour. Lower temperatures tend to preserve more delicate flavour notes, while higher temperatures bring out stronger effects and a more robust character.

Built-in water pipe adapter

The mouthpiece has a stepped taper that fits 10 mm, 14 mm, and 18 mm water pipe joints. You do not need a separate adapter, which makes it simple to switch between using the Tempest 2 on its own and running it through a water pipe for cooler, smoother vapour.

How to use the Tempest 2

The Tempest 2 is straightforward once you know the steps. Before your first session, use the included setting tube to set the bowl screen to your preferred depth (0.1 g, 0.15 g, or 0.2 g).

  1. Unscrew the cap and load the bowl by pushing it into ground herbs or filling by hand. Tamp lightly, but avoid packing tightly so air can flow through the side holes in the chamber.
  2. Screw the cap back onto the stem, keeping the threads clean.
  3. Heat with a butane torch about 1 cm from the cap while rotating slowly, or place the vape in a compatible induction heater.
  4. Listen for the click and watch the visual indicator to reach your preferred temperature zone.
  5. Draw slowly with the stem air port mostly covered.
  6. For reheats, heat for a shorter time and stop about one marking earlier on the visual indicator, since residual heat continues to spread.

Long, slow draws work best, as airflow is what drives extraction in a convection system. The cap stays hot for several minutes after use, so handle it with care or use the Tempest 2 Case to cool it safely. Expect some experimenting with airflow settings and heating technique before you settle on your ideal setup. Mad Heaters provides a thorough online manual that helps with the details.

Easy to clean

The Tempest 2 stem has just 4 parts and 1 seal ring, which makes cleaning simple. A quick clean every 30 bowls or so keeps things running well: spray some isopropyl alcohol on the cooling spiral, wipe it down, and swab the bowl screen with a cotton bud.

A deeper clean every 100 bowls involves soaking the parts in isopropyl alcohol for about 30 minutes, rinsing, and drying completely. The seal rings do not need to be removed for routine cleaning.

Tempest 2 vs Tempest 1

The Tempest 1 earned a strong following for its performance, and the Revolve stem offered extensive cooling through 6 parts and 5 seal rings.

The Tempest 2 simplifies the design to 4 parts and a single seal ring, making it much faster to clean and reassemble. The bowl is larger with three screen positions, the heat shield stays cool in your hand instead of transferring heat from the inner condenser, and a thicker induction sleeve improves heat retention. The 8 mm connection stays the same, so the head fits both versions. For a cleaner, more refined experience, the Tempest 2 is the natural upgrade.

Tempest 2 vs DynaVap M7

The DynaVap M7 is a straightforward, affordable butane vape that heats herbs through conduction from a stainless steel tip. It heats quickly and works well as a first step into butane vaping.

The Tempest 2 uses convection through a ball matrix, which tends to extract more evenly and preserve flavour longer into a session. It also adds a visual temperature indicator, dual click discs, swappable ball materials, adjustable bowl size, dual airflow control, and a built-in water pipe adapter. For users who want more extraction and more control from each bowl, the Tempest 2 is the step up.

Tempest 2 vs DynaVap HyperDyn

The DynaVap HyperDyn is DynaVap's big-bowl conduction vape, with a 0.25 g titanium tip, a thick titanium cap for single heat-up extraction, and full modularity with existing DynaVap stems and mouthpieces. It includes a built-in 10/14 mm water pipe adapter and seven airflow settings.

The Tempest 2 heats through convection via a ball matrix rather than conduction from a metal tip, which tends to extract more evenly across the bowl. It adds a visual temperature indicator with three zones, dual click discs, swappable ball materials, an adjustable bowl with three screen positions, and an 18 mm water pipe option alongside 10 and 14 mm. For users who want convection extraction and more temperature feedback from each session, the Tempest 2 is the step up.
