The Reliance RS50 5000 mAh 21700 battery is a high-capacity spare cell for vaporizers that use this battery format. A charged spare in its case means a dying battery never ends a session. A second cell effectively doubles your time away from a charger.

Swapping cells takes seconds on vaporizers with a user-replaceable battery. When the original battery finally wears down, a fresh 21700 restores full runtime - you replace the battery, not the vaporizer.

Where possible, charge the RS50 in a dedicated charger rather than inside the vaporizer: the Xtar X2 - Battery Charger takes 21700 cells and charges two cells at once. Its display shows voltage and charge state for each bay.

Before you use the RS50

The RS50 is a high-drain cell that stores a lot of energy. A few simple habits keep handling it safe:

• Inspect before every use - never charge or fit a cell with a cut, dented or otherwise damaged wrapper or insulating ring.
• Insert the flat negative end first so it compresses the spring terminal. Then lower the positive end into place. If you feel resistance, take the cell out and check the orientation. Never force it.
• Carry spares in a case - never let one sit loose with keys, coins or other metal.
• Use a dedicated Li-ion charger. If a cell has ever been forced into place or short-circuited, have your vaporizer's battery contacts checked before you use it again.
