The wood sleeve replaces the standard aluminium heat shield on the Tempest 2. It is made from stabilised maple burl with a natural finish. Each sleeve has unique colour and grain patterns due to the organic nature of wood.
Wood insulates better than aluminium, so the sleeve stays cooler during longer or back-to-back sessions. It also reduces the overall weight by a few grams.
