Who is the Puffco Proxy - Wizard Pipe for?
The Puffco Proxy - Wizard Pipe is the tall, free-standing glass attachment in Puffco's Proxy Collection, and it is widely regarded as one of the best waterless glass attachments in that range. It suits Proxy owners who want a cooler, smoother draw at home.
The Proxy core is sold separately, so this is an upgrade for people who already own one. The length that cools the vapour is also why this pipe is meant for use on a table, not for carrying in a pocket. Set it on a desk for an evening session and it stands upright on its own between draws.
Cooling Without Water
The long spiral glass more than doubles the air path of the stock Proxy pipe. Vapour travels a much greater distance before it reaches your mouth, cooling down over the entire distance. The cooling comes from the shape and length of the glass, with no water involved.
That makes the Wizard the waterless option in the Proxy glass range, the one that prioritises flavour. It uses no water at all, so nothing can spill and there is nothing to change between sessions. If you want water filtration, you will find it in other pieces in the Proxy glass range.
A Glass Pipe That Stands Upright on Your Table
The standing design means the Wizard holds itself upright on a flat surface, so you can set it down mid-session without laying it on its side. The length also keeps the warm core away from your face while you draw, which matters if you find the core uncomfortable when it is close to your face.
The body is hand-blown borosilicate glass, and Puffco state that the glass coating has been tested against the safety standards used for medical equipment and meets them. The grooved seat holds the core, and it is also the natural place to grip the glass.
Puffco describe it as a decorative centrepiece, and the shape justifies that description. It has a permanent place on a desk or a shelf, like a small sculpture, ready for the next session.
Works With Every Proxy Core
The Wizard is passive glass with no electronics of any kind. There is no battery, no button and no app connection here; all heating and session control happens on the Proxy core, which drops into the grooved seat.
Puffco designed every piece of Proxy glass to work with every Proxy core, so the Wizard fits both the original Proxy core and the current Bluetooth Proxy core. If you own an older core, it works for you too. The core itself is not included in the box, so you will need one to use this piece.
