Who is the Puffco Proxy - Bub for?
The Puffco Proxy - Bub is a glass water bubbler for the Puffco Proxy platform, made for owners who want a cooler, softer draw at home. The Proxy core fits directly into the bubbler, and the water provides the cooling.
The Proxy core is sold separately, so this is an addition to a platform you already own. Because it stands upright and holds water, the Bub stays on the table between draws, which makes it stable and comfortable to hold. It works best during a long evening session when you are sitting down.
Cooler, Smoother Draws Through Water
The Bub pulls each draw through water before it reaches the mouthpiece, which softens the heat. That makes the draw gentler on the throat, and you notice the difference most on the higher presets and the Boost setting, where the Proxy reaches its highest temperatures.
Cooler vapour also makes the flavour easier to taste, and many people find the flavour easier to distinguish once the vapour has cooled. The Bub does not change the Proxy's heating or its extraction. It only changes the sensation of the draw.
Borosilicate Glass with a Tested Coating
The Bub is made from borosilicate glass, and its coating has been tested to medical-grade safety standards. Puffco states that this testing covers the coating on the glass, so you know exactly which material the vapour passes over on every draw.
The shape is a classic bubbler: upright, stable on a table between draws, and comfortable to pick up and hold. Add water before you seat the Proxy core, since the water is what does the cooling. Like any piece of glassware that holds water, it should be handled with care.
One Glass Piece That Fits Both Proxy Generations
The Bub works with both Proxy generations, the original core and the current Bluetooth core, because the glass is cross-compatible. If you upgrade the electronics later, the same glass stays in use, and you do not need to find matching adapters or buy any extra parts. A single piece of glass handles the water cooling.
