This is the simplest Santa Cruz Shredder: a toothed lid and one grinding chamber, 54 mm across, and no other parts that need unscrewing. You grind your herb, fill your vaporizer straight from the chamber, and then put the grinder back in your pocket.

It earns the Santa Cruz Shredder name with the same patented tooth design used in the bigger models. The teeth have flat tops, so they slice the herb in several directions instead of crushing it, so the grind comes out fluffy, even and airy, the consistency that lets hot air reach every surface in a vaporizer chamber. It stays easy to turn even when the chamber is completely full, which is why so many people with hand or wrist pain choose these grinders.

The chamber floor is rounded instead of having sharp corners, so you can sweep out every last bit of ground herb with a fingertip or a loading tool. With no screen and no extra chambers nothing can warp, the threads cannot be misaligned, and there is almost nothing to clean.

The body is made of anodised, medical-grade aluminium that is cleaned ultrasonically and machined in Santa Cruz, California, with a friction-ring thread that never sticks or jams, and a rare earth magnet that holds the lid closed while you carry it.
