The wear and tear set replaces the parts that give out during normal use of the Volcano Hybrid: six stainless steel screens, four seal rings, and a cleaning brush.

Over time, residue clogs the screens and soaking cannot fully remove it. Seal rings also lose their airtight fit. Replacing both restores free airflow and a tight seal, so the draw pulls as easily as it did when the unit was new.
